Reactive oxygen species and Udx1 during early sea urchin development

Article Abstract:

The role of sea urchin dual oxidase Udx1 in blocking polyspermy is described. Cleavage is delayed if this enzyme is inhibited. Udx1 may also have a role in intracellular signaling.
