Reduction of experimental Salmonella and Campylobacter contamination of chicken skin by application of lytic bacteriophages

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on lytic bacteriophages. The authors report that these bacteriophages experimentally contaminated with Campylobacter and Salmonella have been applied to chicken skin, and that after the application the bacteriophages have shown the increase in titer, and have reduced the pathogen numbers.

Chemical and biological interactions during nitrate and goethite reduction by Shewanella putrefaciens 200

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on microbial ferric (hydr)oxide and NO (sub)3 (super)- reduction. The authors have investigated the nature of biological and geochemical interactions between microbial ferric (hydr)oxide and NO (sub)3 (super)- reduction via the use of Shewanella putrefaciens 200.
