Fecal DNA Analysis for Identifying Species and Sex of Sympatric Carnivores: A Noninvasive Method for Conservation on the Tsushima Islands, Japan
Article Abstract:
Fecal samples were used for noninvasive DNA analysis of Japanese marten, feral cat, Siberian weasel, and leopard cat populations on Japan's Tsushima Islands. Genetic data is provided, and the method is deemed a useful tool in conservation and management of the four carnivore species.

Single-Locus Gametophytic Incompatibility in Autotetraploids
Article Abstract:
A deterministic model was used to determine that limiting values of genotype class frequencies in autotetraploids do not reduce pollen wastage, unlike diploid gametophytic self-incompatibility systems.
