Segregation analysis of heading traits in hexaploid wheat utilizing recombinant inbread lines

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on wheat heading traits. The authors have investigated the genetic segregation of these traits via the use of hexaploid wheat's recombinant inbred lines, and they report that the results of the correlation analysis have demonstrated that photoperiod sensitivity and narrow-sense earliness are important for the heading time in the field.

Mapping quantitative trait loci underlying triploid endosperm traits

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on endosperm quantitative trait loci genotypes. The authors describe their study of these genotypes' conditional probabilities, and report that the use of the probabilities has helped them to develop a multiple linear regression method which provide accurate estimates of the quantitative trait loci effect.

Chemical defence in a sawfly: genetic components of variation in relevant life-history traits

Research has been conducted on chemical defence mechanism of insect herbivores. The study of the potential taits related to this defence mechanism has been carried out via the the use of sib and parent-offspring analyses, and the genetic correlation between the traits has been examined and discussed.
