The genetics of hereditary colon cancer

Article Abstract:

A study was undertaken to determine whether colon cancer was a hereditary phenomenon. Results revealed that the familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), a rare autosomal disorder might be responsible for colon cancer in individuals.

The molecular pathogenesis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC or PDA) and precursor lesions is presented. The mouse models are used as a platform for molecular diagnostics, prognosis and targeted therapeutics.
