The many faces of PPAR(gamma)
Article Abstract:
The nuclear receptor peroxisome proliferator- activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma) is targeted with greater benefit and with less risk to patients. The results depend upon the basic biology of PPARgamma, and the possibility of selectively modulating the activity of the nuclear receptor in a tissue- and target-gene-specific manner.

Gaining weight: The Keystone Symposium on PPAR and LXR
Article Abstract:
The critical role of lipid-sensing receptors, Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptors (PPARs) and Liver X Receptors (LXRs) in lipid and glucose metabolism is discussed in Keystone Symposium. The therapeutic manipulation of PPARs and LXRs has the potential to combat obesity and diabetes.
