The micoRNAs of Caenorhabditis elegans

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Caenorhabditis elegans micoRNAs which may regulate protein-coding gene expression in animals and plants. The authors report the results of the computational investigation carried out in the effort to identify micoRNA genes conserved in more than one genome.

XOL-1, primary determinant of sexual fate in C. elegans, is a GHMP kinase family member and a structural prototype for a class of developmental regulators

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on XOL-1 protein from Caenorhabditis elegans, a GHMP kinase family member. The role of GHMP kinase family members in mediating sexual differentiation, dosage compensation and other aspects of development has been investigated, and the details are reported.

Ectodermal WNT3/betap-catenin signaling is required for the establishment and maintenance of the apical ectodermal ridge

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on apical ectodermal ridge formation. The authors have attempted to demonstrate that Wnt3, expressed throughout the limb ectoderm, is important for normal limb development and critical in establishment apical ectodermal ridge.
