To B or Not to B a Flower: The Role of DEFICIENS and GLOBOSA Orthologs in the Evolution of the Angiosperms

Article Abstract:

Examples of subfunctionalization and neofunctionalization are observed for DEFICIENS and GLOBOSA, even though their subfamily's primary role is to specify inner perianth and stamens. Discussion includes phylogeny, expression, and function in the DEF/GLO subfamily.
