Treating genetic diseases today

The gene therapy and therapeutic cloning are being highly considered as the best way of treating genetic diseases. It is believed that conventional treatments and symptomatic management had an increasing influence on the quality of life and life expectancy of patients with different genetic conditions.

The article discusses the need of proper diagnosis and treatment of the psychosis behavior causing childhood-onset schizophrenia (COS) in adolescents. Various environmental factors, including hypoxia and fetal growth retardation are found to be the reason behind the growth of COS in children.

The article discusses cystoplasty, the procedure of replacing a person's nonfunctional bladder by a bladder made out of his own cells. In spite of being successful, the procedure leads to a decrease in the number of intestinal tissues in the body that can lead to further complications.
