Nck links nephrin to actin in kidney podocytes
Article Abstract:
Two new reports provide evidence that nephrin tyrosine phosphorylation controls podocyte cell morphology through the Nck adaptor proteins. The findings of these two studies also linked nephrin to the rearrangement of actin cytoskeleton in food processes and indicate that the Nck adaptor proteins function as mediators of this connection.

Article Abstract:
A study is conducted in order to understand how number of factors involved in the eradication of misfolded proteins achieves substrate specificity. It is observed that two distinct protein complexes present at the endoplasmic reticulum membrane account for the recognition and degradation of specific subsets of protein substrates.
