Wetland selection by American green-winged teal breeding in British Columbia
Article Abstract:
Wetland fertility levels were measured to determine wetland selection behavior of green-winged teal breeding in British Columbia, Canada. Twelve breeding-pair surveys were used to categorize 96 wetlands, while water chemistry and physical properties were used to evaluate fertility. Used and unused wetlands exhibited substantial variation for chemical and physical factors, indicating the importance of wetland fertility in site selection by green-winged teal.

On the behavior of the Black Swift
Article Abstract:
A study on the behavior of the Black Swift was conducted to determine their types of aerial interactions. Results show that these interactions include group chase, pair chase, pair contact and touch and grasp. Pair contact and touch and grasp can be intraspecific or interspecific. Furthermore, aerial copulation was not observed. Adults, on the other hand, roosted on the nest during the first half of the nestling period.
