Nomad Telecommunications has experienced exceptional growth and market positioning since Carlton Taya took the company in a new direction in 1997. He established Nomad as a mobile phone service provider; it is the first in Australia to offer a completely integrated system that is wireless and network and equipment based with value-added services. They offer their entire package one bill and emphasize customer service.

Wyatt hoped to see the company diversify and begin a new business, but other officials preferred to stay with the core business. Since the company's start, its core strategy has been to find new market opportunities and develop high-technology products to exploit them.
