Article Abstract:

ANZ Investment Bank was voted the best bank at managing interest rate risks in all categories but two, according to a 1997 poll. Chris Cooper of ANZ's Australian markets division predicts that the current Asian recession will draw international banks to Australia in a search for a stable economy. The two categories not won by ANZ were top dealer and advisor, and were won by former ANZ employee John Martin-Alcaide, now with National Australia Bank.
