Article Abstract:

Research on the science sector of New Zealand shows that, instead of a stable organizational archetype emerging from reforms, reforms have instead fostered a dynamic form of organization best able to respond to knowledge production demands. The role of leaders has then become one of understanding and translating dynamic situations for the organization and stakeholders.
