Auto parts (replacement) industry

Article Abstract:

Stocks in the replacement automobile parts industry have become less timely in the 1st half of 1999, but the potential for price appreciation is high for the next three to five years. Acquisitions, divestitures, increased auto maintenance by dealers, greater auto parts complexity, and meager sales growth are some of the trends that have affected this industry during the 1990s. Several of these stocks are expected to grow over the years, but SPX Corp is the sole timely issue within this industry in 1999.
