Bank (Canadian) industry
Article Abstract:
Canadian banks should be more profitable in the year 2000 with increased lending activity and livelier capital markets due to good economic growth and low inflation in Canada and the US. Lending, however, is expected to slow in the future and the Canadian banking industry is seeking new ways to increase the bottom line. These stocks are below-average in timeliness, but some have promise for the next three to five years.
