The economic upheaval embroiled with the four major accounting groups - KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte is analyzed. The non-compliance attitude of the Big Four firms to the new auditor independence rules in the US and Australia has hampered all their efforts to succeed in the competitive world.
