Burlington Coat feels the heat, sets recall of 480 men's parkas; manufactured in China, jackets are trimmed with hair of dogs, not coyote fur

Article Abstract:

New Jersey-based Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corp. will give a store credit or a refund to purchasers of men's parkas that are trimmed with dog fur instead of coyote fur. The practice was discovered by the Humane Society of the U.S. in an 18-month investigation. The coats in question number 480 and were made in China. About 140 of them were sold from as many as 38 different stores. The Humane Society estimates that about 2 million dogs and cats are exploited for their fur each year.
