Case study: how to be different from dad
Article Abstract:
A case study is presented in which a daughter taking over a family business has a management style different from her father's style. One strategy is to focus on the advantages of the new style. The daughter must establish credibility with stakeholders and demonstrate the benefits of the change.

A case study is presented involving a family business run by a man with bipolar disorder. One suggestion for family members is to recruit outsiders for the firm's board. Being open about the problem and seeking counseling are essential.
