Australian companies off late have been facing a major crisis in the form of skill shortage. Many of them have changed their ways of recruiting workers. The existence of skill shortage is mainly because of lack of suitably qualified workers. The different methods of recruiting employees and managing their longer stay in the company are discussed.

Reasons for self-employment revolution are discussed. Australia has most of the fearless corporations, who lead their own business. It is believed that with in ten years, fifty percent of Australia's workforce will be self-employed and many may work from home.
