Australia is the franchise capital of the world and the idea is getting bigger in the revolution in Australia's booming franchising sector. The industry is worth $80 billion, or 12% of the economy, and employs 600,000 people expanding beyond retail and home services to white-collar services such as mortgage broking and business advice, and hence some larger franchises are opening a store every 2-3 days.
