Changing the management culture in one part of the British Civil Service through visionary leadership and strategically led research-based OD interventions
Article Abstract:
Organization development (OD) can positively impact corporate culture and facilitate strategic change. This is possible if factors such as sound research in informing and supporting OD interventions are taken into account in addition to the presence of an effective leader. A study conducted on the Anglia Collection of HM C and E has proven how academic research into managerial effectiveness coupled with good leadership can surmount the restraining forces of cultural lag when implementing organizational change.
