Economical with the proof: blind preferences and visionary ethics
Article Abstract:
There is a disoute on the concept of value between ecophilosophers and economists which is apparent in three works. Neva Goodwin has edited 'The Consumer Society' which takes an interdisciplinary approach and aims to locate economic issues in society as a whole. The different authors do not always agree on scarcity and other issues. Meanwhile, Peter Marshall's 'Nature's Web: Rethinking Our Place on Earth' is a history of ecological thought which lacks detail and could do with some updating. Roger Gottlieb has edited 'The Ecological Community' gives greater detail. Some contributions are refreshing, while others tend to stay on familiar ground rather than stretch boundaries.

Comics
Article Abstract:
The waning popularity of comic books in the late 1990s is attributed to a lack of acceptance for the work as a legitimate medium. Comics are a valuable source of fiction and nonfiction ideas and greater attention to them rather than ignoring them because they are pictures and text would show this.
