Developing manufacturing flexibility through supply chain activities: evidence from the motherboard industry

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to extend the knowledge of manufacturing flexibility with regard to its integration with supply chain activities. The relationship between supplier collaboration and manufacturing flexibility in the motherboard industry was examined. Findings show that supplier collaboration influences the development of a company's manufacturing flexibility.

Supply chain integration and shareholder value: evidence from consortium based industry exchanges

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the shareholder value effects of setting up industry exchanges, which are used to achieve supply chain integration. Findings show that abnormal returns from participation in industry exchanges are positive, but are only marginally significant in the sample of 144 companies.

Supply chain benefits from advanced customer commitments

Article Abstract:

Logistics and supply chain management research is given. A model illustrating the benefits to the supplier from obtaining advanced commitments from downstream customers is reviewed.
