Dole criticized the motion-picture industry for making morally corrupt films. He was particularly critical of Time Warner Inc for producing music that contains references to sex and violence. He denounced the films 'Natural Born Killers' and 'True Romance' and several 'gangsta' rap groups.

The Juilliard of bluegrass music

The west Texas South Plains College has a two-year degree program in bluegrass and country music that enrolls 700 students. Most of the 25 faculty members are able players and former touring professionals. The school boasts a professional recording studio and stage.

Gramm admits 1970s 'R' film backing

Republican Presidential candidate Phil Gramm confirmed reports that in 1974 he helped finance a proposed soft porn movie, entitled 'Beauty Queens.' Gramm maintains that he never read a script for the film, which was never made.
