The repercussions of the slow down in Australian GDP and residential construction industry, increase in trade deficit, and the Australian Reserve Bank's decision to increase the interest rates, are analyzed. The growth in industrial activity fuelled by the boom in residential real estate in recent past will no longer persist and new players will take the stage in due course.
