'Endeavour' flight length sets record

The 'Endeavor' set a new record for the longest shuttle flight with its Mar 2-18, 1995, mission. The crew conducted astronomical research on various stars, planets and galaxies using ultraviolet telescopes. Information about the shuttle was posted on the Internet by NASA.

Article Abstract:
The space shuttle Endeavour returned from a nine-day mission on Jan 20, 1996. On Jan 13, 1996, a crew member retrieved a Japanese satellite that was malfunctioning, and three crew members went spacewalking on different occasions. The shuttle traveled 3.7 million miles.
