Entertainment industry

Article Abstract:

The entertainment industry has become a large, important, and growing segment of the US economy, and these stocks include large capitalization companies with high market values that move with the market. Demand for entertainment will continue to grow, and the best companies are developing content and mulitple dissemination methods. These stocks are not rated high for timeliness, although there are several good selections for investors.

Article Abstract:

There appears to be no overriding trends for entertainment industry stocks, even they they have not escaped the stock-market volatility of late 1998. However, demand remains strong, as does competition, even though larger companies are beginning to dominate the industry, and there have also been some major mergers in 1998. The industry is growing, but investors must select companies with good strategic plans and shares of the market.
