Many luxury cars made by various companies are briefly evaluated and priced. Luxury automobile prices in Australia are not expected to change due to the federal election. Only automobiles with prices over $40,000 (Australian) are considered. Companies represented include Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Holden, Honda, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, and Volkswagen, among others.

Kia's hopes ride with Carnival people-mover

Kia Motors Corp. of South Korea has introduced its new people mover, the VS Carnival, and Kia Australia hopes to revitalize a forgotten market segment. In 1989, people movers in Australia sold 14,000 a year. By 1993, a shift to luxury four-wheel drive wagons caused people mover sales to fall to 6,746. The Kia Carnival starts at $29,990.
