Mr. Gamble seeks help from Mr. Sensible who can help him ease the money he owes in taxes when his nonqualified stock options go down in value but are still taxable as ordinary income. Mr. Sensible who has three possible options, not to help, undo the stock exercise, or give Mr. Gamble cash, needs to choose the most prudent course of action.
