The Group of Seven held its 21st annual conference from Jun 15-17, 1995, in Halifax, Canada. The war in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the hostage-taking by Chechen rebels in Russia were major topics of discussion. The main economic issues addressed were unemployment and Mexico's currency problems.

The Group of 7 finance ministers met in London, England, on Feb 27, 1993, to discuss the international economy and global economic growth. The meeting was held mainly so that Treasury Sec Lloyd Bentsen and Japanese Finance Minister Yoshiro Hayashi could meet the other leaders.
