Analysts expect the hotel and gaming industries to show continued strong growth, although tax reform caused a slowing of construction projects. Revenue per room reached record highs, as occupancy rates soared, but the trend may not continue. Gaming corporations are building Las Vegas, NV, into a resort destination, but the market for riverboat gambling and casinos in other locations may be saturated.
