Article Abstract:

Scope and necessity of attitudinal changes on innovation, in boosting the construction industry are discussed. Barriers to innovation are also presented. Low company profitability, tendency for clients to select the cheapest contractor and project-based nature of work are the major barriers, as evidenced by the survey report of the Co-operative Research Centre (CRC) in Australia.
