Inter-organizational communication as a relational competency: antecedents and performance outcomes in collaborative buyer-supplier relationships

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to investigate the performance outcomes and antecedents of inter-organizational communication. A sample of over 200 firms in the United States is used to test a number of hypothesized relationships. Findings support the notion that inter-organizational communication is a relational competency that enhances suppliers' and buyers' performance.

Towards a theory of supply chain management: the constructs and measurements

Article Abstract:

Study is conducted to identify and combine several supply chain initiatives and factors to develop key supply chain management (SCM). The result of the study are a set of reliable, valid and unidimensional measurements that can be used to extend conceptualization and measurements paving the way for theory building in SCM.

Strategic purchasing supply management and firm performance

Strategic purchasing in a supply chain management environment reportedly has an active effect on the corporate planning process. Besides, it can also promote closer working relations with the suppliers.
