Internetworking: building Internet-generation companies

Article Abstract:

The operational and strategic benefit that a firm can derive from internetworking is described by categorizing 493 established Internet-enabled firms into 8 dimensions, but inspite of large potential for gains the result is unimpressive. The reasons for this unimpressive performance are looked at and some of the factors that affect internetworking are presented.

Knowledge for theory and practice

Article Abstract:

The three different ways in which the gap between theory and practice is framed are examined. A method of engaged scholarship is proposed for addressing the knowledge production problem, which has shown that engaged scholarship not only increases the relevance of research for practice but also contributes to advancing research knowledge in a given domain.
