Article Abstract:

This article examines two aspects of human resource management, job evaluation and high performance strategies, focusing on whether or not these management techniques are compatible or conflictual. Findings suggest that companies that implement analytical job evaluation schemes with a high performance work strategy are at a financial disadvantage.
