KFC chief resigns; duties are to be split between two officials

Article Abstract:

Tricon Global Restaurants Inc. announced that KFC USA's president and chief concept officer, Jeffrey A. Moody, was resigning from his posts. KFC is a unit of Tricon. Mr. Moody is resigning in order to pursue other opportunities. Charles E. Rawley will be promoted to president and chief operating officer of KFC. Mr. Rawley is KFC's chief operating officer. Terry Davenport was appointed as KFC's chief concept officer. Mr. Davenport was the unit's chief marketing officer.

High stakes: as a public company, Prudential may find pay scales draw fire: top 100 executives average $820,000 as firm prepares to end its mutual status

Prudential Insurance Co. of America has always paid its executives very well in good times and bad. Individual policy holders have had no say in this matter.The company may receive closer scrutiny for its agressive salsary practices now that Prudential proposes a new system of ownership by public shareholders. Executives numbering 176 receive at least $350,000 according to a Wall Street Journal analysis.

Boeing says Givan, top financial officer, is planning to retire

Article Abstract:

Boeing Co. announced that its chief financial officer, Boyd Givan, will step down from his post on September 1, 1998. Boeing said that is seeking candidates to replace Mr. Givan from within and without the company. Mr. Givan has been with the plane maker for 32 years. He was appointed as the Boeing's finance chief in 1990.
