For New PC Line - Dale Electronics Lands Large Pact from NCR

Dale Electronics Inc. has agreed to provide NCR with PC subsystem components that include DEI's SL-6 tape drive, a 21M byte 1-4-inch tape cartridge drive in the 5.25 inch form factor, a DEI-developed controller, a host adaptor and all necessary software for the subsystem. This agreement represents a departure for DEI, who in the past has sold its tapes drives as stand-alone peripherals. This new marketing approach will enable DEI to aggressively compete for large-volume deals.
