Making databases matter

Article Abstract:

In an attempt to gain maximum from marketing strategy, most of the marketing information is transformed into databases. While it is useful to an extent, it shifts the focus from customer satisfaction to these lists and databases. Such a shift of focus could defeat the very objective. A discretionary approach is advisable under such circumstances.
