IBM to boost use, marketing of Linux

International Business Machines Corp. announced that it will begin to use Linux operating systems software on its computer servers and market the software as well. The shift in strategy will be directed from IBM's Enterprise Systems Group, led by Samuel Palmisano.

IBM gains in battle with BEA over software
