North Korea announced that it would postpone its plan to withdraw from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty on Jun 11, 1993. North Korea had announced plans to withdraw from the treaty in Mar 1993 because it did not approve of mandatory inspections of nuclear facilities.

U.S. suspends Belet Uen relief flights

The US temporarily stopped sending food-relief flights to Belet Uen, Somalia, after a military aircraft was hit by a bullet on Sep 18, 1992. Navy warships arrived off the Somali coast to provide assistance for peacekeeping forces.

Army suspends firing of SDI critic
