Article Abstract:

Researchers at the National Institutes of Health, Mind/Body Medical Institute at Harvard University and the University of Massachusetts are intrigued with research on the physiological and psychological benefits meditation provides. Richard Davidson, professor at University of Wisconsin, gave insights of his research work on monks' brains (left prefrontal cortexes), which were found to be more active due to their meditating habits. This study was supported by another study done by him on employees of Promega, a biotech company.

Issues concerning the globalization are discussed, with particular focus on the importance of taxation to maintaining the benefit standards. The possibility of a global tax system is examined. The aim of a global tax system would be to ensure global labor fairness.

Microsoft ready to 'plea bargain' for its life

US District Judge Thomas Jackson has released an initial finding accusing Microsoft of using monopoly power to dominate the market for personal computer operating systems. This is a clear sign that he may impose sanctions on Microsoft.
