Organizational connectivity

Article Abstract:

Interorganizational and intraorganizational systems are being used by more and more corporations as a means of enhancing competitive advantage. These information systems are relied upon to establish a connective orientation within the organizational structure. Companies such as Sony, Xerox amd Texas Instruments are currently using informational systems where intraorganizational and interorganizational connectivity is established using a cross-functional approach that decentralizes corporate information technology. The most common application of interorganizational connectivity is electronic data interchange.
