Packaging & container industry
                                Article Abstract:
Packing and container industry securities should experience a slight growth in 1997 but investors should consider individual companies and their entry into the international market which will be the biggest growth area anticipated. After strong price rises in the first six months of 1996, both industries experienced a flattening out in the following three months. Drops in raw material prices indicate that share prices should benefit in the long term.

                                Article Abstract:
Packaging and container companies that export their products have benefited from the upturn in Europe's economy and the steady increase in demand from the Pacific Rim countries. The industry should prosper in the latter half of the 1990s. Companies whose stocks are expected to rise include Crown Cork & Seal Company Inc; Sealed Air Corp; Bemis Company Inc; Sonoco Products and Owens-Illinois Inc.
