The bionic implants maker Cochlear has shot to fame when first bionic ear was developed by the company and its share has touched $52 in 2001, even when the technology stocks were crashing the company's stocks were trading at 34 times price earning ratio. From last year the company started wavering, profit warning issued and the new chief, Chris Roberts is in the process of making the company profitable.

ADI appoints Howard's man

The appointment of Paul McClintock as chairman of Australia's largest defence contractor ADI, has given way for many speculations by those involved in the labour industry. McClintock had served as a secretary to the federal cabinet in the Howard government earlier.
