Article Abstract:

The New South Wales Government is investigating into the purposeful curtailment and limiting the funds that the asbestos company James Hardie assigned to pay asbestos injury claims. The Medical Compensation and Research Foundation reports that the funding deficit is around $800 million. The causes for the rise in asbestos price in Australia are described. The effects of asbestos from health perspective are presented. The BHP Billiton's (BHP) claims are studied in this context.

Article Abstract:

The boom in sporting infrastructure construction in Australia has brought in competition amongst stadium operators, which, in turn, has led to development and promotion of sports in the country. A glimpse at some of the biggest sporting stadiums in Australia, along with their capacity, cost of construction and revenue generated in 2005, and main events held therein, is also presented.
