A note on the applicability of the Bruvold-Comer model of mail survey response rates to commercial populations
Article Abstract:
Commercial mail survey data were used to test the Bruvold-Comer model of mail survey response rates. This model was not applicable for surveying business people since it has a low predictive ability. By using commercial data with a holdout sample, a new logit model was created which proved to be adequate in predicting the responses of commercial populations. The new logit model can also be used to test other design configurations.

Prepaid monetary incentive effects on mail survey response
Article Abstract:
The questions of whether it is worth using monetary incentives and the size of the inducement by testing a regression model of the impact of prepaid monetary incentives on response rates in consumer and organizational mail surveys is tackled. The results support their use and the inducement value that makes a significant impact on the effect size is shown.
