President reelected in boycotted vote
Article Abstract:
Bedie was reelected on Oct 22, 1995, winning 96% of the vote. However, the Ivory Coast opposition parties boycotted the election, and the 56% turnout was considerably less than the 70% turnout of the 1990 election. The election was also marked by violence resulted in the deaths of at least 10.

Fordice reelected in Mississippi
Article Abstract:
Fordice received 56% of the vote for governor of Mississippi, while Democratic candidate Dick Molpus received 44% of the vote. Democrat Ronnie Musgrove was elected lieutenant governor over incumbent Eddie Briggs.
