QBE Insurance Group will raise $1 billion capital that will be utilized for acquisitions. The QBE Insurance Group's strategies on restructuring of its Lloyd's of London business and European divisions under the chairmanship of Frank O'Halloran are examined.

AMP's worst is not over

The AMP 's first -quarter results of 2003 were far below the market expectations that resulted in writing off assets worth $2.6 billion and raised $1.5 billion for better results. The poor risk-management process and insufficient management information systems, coupled with a falling stockmarket and the draining of funds from its orphan estate in Britain has resulted in the company's losses.
