Quantitative comparison of approximate solution sets for bi-criteria optimization problems

Article Abstract:

The Integrated Preference Functional (IPF) is presented for comparing the quality of proposed sets of near-pareto-optimal solutions to bi-criteria optimization problems. Also, some examples of decision maker preference functions are provided and the calculation of the resulting IPF for specific solution sets and a simple family of combined objectives is also illustrated.

A comparison of arbitration procedures for risk-averse disputants

Article Abstract:

A generalized arbitration model for quantitative models of final offer arbitration, conventional arbitration, and some proposed alternatives to them has been presented. Analysis of difference between risk averse disputants' equilibrium and the width of the contract zone has resulted in superior outcomes of final offer arbitration than those of conventional arbitration.

A generalized framework for quantity discount pricing schedules

Article Abstract:

The treatment of quantity discounts in the inventory and purchasing literature has argued to be tended from the buyer's perspective. A unified treatment of the problem, categories of different variations on the problem, and a common solution procedure for several cases are also provided.
